Nangarhar Blast Kills One, Wounds Five Others

A civilian was killed and five others were wounded in an explosion in eastern Nangarhar province on Sunday morning, a local official said.

The provincial governor’s spokesman Attaullah Khogyani told Ariana News that the explosion took place at Wazir area in Khogyani district of the province.

According to the official, an 8 years old child was killed and one civilian among four local police wounded after a planted explosive blasted off in the area.

No individual or group has immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.

Nangarhar is among relatively restive provinces of Afghanistan where the Taliban and Daesh insurgents are actively operating in its number of remote districts.
