Afghan Gov’t to begin distribution of e-IDs soon : Danish
Second vice president of Afghanistan Sarwar Danish has written in his facebook page that Afghanistan cabinet has modified the article 6th of the population regulation act which will allow the Afghanistan assembly to approve the ethnicity of Afghans in Electronic Identity card and get the following process started after one huge gap.
Mps in the lower house of the parliament have stated that by the time the draft reaches to house we will approve it with majority votes.
Chief executive of Nai supporting open media in Afghanistan Abdul Mujeeb Khalvatgar said,” there is excuse to delay the process of issuing National Electronic Identity cards, I hope to see the draft plan once again goes to Parliament for further approval and processing phases. “
“First of we need to thank the secretariat section of the house, second it was significant efforts made to break the deadlock, we will approve it with the majority of votes if the draft comes to the house Mp Ahmad Nazir said,”
Further the second vice president Sarwar Danish has also quoted that Ministries of Interior affairs and Telecommunication are fully ready to begin the following National process within Afghanistan.
National Electronic Identity Cards has been delayed several times due to some political disagreements in between the National Unity Government leaders, though it was one of the priorities of their Government, where the disagreements caused thousands of staffs to lose their job despite of receiving expensive training.
