None of Governmental officials executed holding corruption cases: Fakhri

Officials at High Office of Oversight and Anti-Corruption have stated that none of the Governmental officials involved into corruption cases were executed in more than one decade, 440 corruption cases goes to former Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Governors, were sent to Afghanistan Supreme Court and none has been reviewed yet.

Meanwhile officials in Supreme Court have stated that big cases of corruption will be pursued together with High Office of Oversight and Anti-Corruption.

Based on the reports more than 1500 corruption cases have been left without reviewing in the Afghanistan Supreme Court. The High office of oversight and anti-corruption demanded the Government to ask the officials in Supreme Court to being reviewing those cases.

Head of the high office of oversight and anti-corruption Sayed Ghulam Hussien Fakhri said,” 440 corruption cased has been delivered to Supreme Court, where the cases were committed by the High ranking Governmental officials, no order has been given over the cases,”

Afghanistan Supreme Court Spokesman Baseer Azizi said,” High office of oversight and anti-corruption will work as machine against corruption cases, and has the capabilities to identify corruption and corrupted Governmental figures.”

Head of the Afghanistan integrity Watch Sayed Ikram Afzali said,” Hundreds of corrupted cases are piled up it should be declared for the Nation whom are the corrupted Governmental figures.”

Afghanistan has been recorded as the third corrupted countries in the list of the International Transparency Organization, despite of many efforts made to tackle the following issue but corruption still exists within the Afghanistan Government.
