Pakistan Seeks Benefits into Afghanistan’s Stability: Sharif

Pakistan’s Chief of Army Raheel Sharif said a peaceful, stable Afghanistan is in Pakistan’s interest. He stated that Pakistan will try to play active role in ensuring peace and stability in Afghanistan, but some parties do not favor this policy.

Meanwhile, officials in Afghanistan’s Presidential Palace stated that they wanted Pakistan to take practical steps to ensure Afghanistan’s security.

Pakistan Chief of Army Raheel Sharif said, “Those who are not honest with Afghanistan should understand that Afghanistan an Islamic country and neighbor of Pakistan, peace in Afghanistan is in the favor of Pakistan.”

“Joint Border Control is one of the priorities of Pakistan and [we are] willing to establish a comprehensive action plan with Afghanistan to remove the future concerns,” Sharif said.

Presidential Spokesman Haron Chakhansuri said, “[The] Afghan Government has always been pro to peace and stability, Pakistan should also instead of giving words and promises take practical actions for ensuring peace in to the country, [and that] Afghans are never cheated.”
