Police arrested in Farah for taking bribe

A deputy of the second police district for Farah criminal investigations department was arrested on Monday over corruption accusations, a provincial police said.

Mohammad Wazir, a police official was arrested by Farah police for taking an amount of 10,000 Afs as a bribe, Eqbal Baher provincial police spokesman said.

The suspect is under police investigation, his case will be referred to the provincial attorney soon, he added.

Recently a United Nations report has found corruption in Afghan police and governmental officials a claim people has always complained about the existence of corruption and asked for their dismissal.
