Roadside bomb kills 5 civilians in Logar

An explosion wounded five civilians in eastern Afghanistan’s Logar province on Sunday.

Logar governor office said in a statement that the blast took place yesterday afternoon in Azra district of Logar province.

According to the source the improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were planted by the anti-government elements and went off when a vehicle with five civilians were passing the area.

The individuals were travelling from Khak Jabar district of Kabul to Azra district in Logar when they were hit by the roadside bomb, the statement added.

Taliban has not made a comment about the incident yet.
