Senior Daesh leader killed in Nangarhar operation
The Daesh designated governor for Nangarhar province was killed during an operation by the Afghan forces on Thursday night, the provincial governor’s office said in a statement.
The Daesh shadow governor was identified as Hedayatullah, who was involved in destructive activities in the province.
“Hedayatullah was killed in an operation by Afghan forces in Chaparhar district, Nangarhar province,” read the statement.
According to the statement he was also responsible for making suicide vests.
The statement also indicates another Daesh key commander Qari Abdul Rahman, known as Qari Tamim was also killed in a separate operation in the Baz-e-Ekmalati area of Jalalabad city.
Daesh has not commented about the incident yet.
