According to ministry spokesperson Shir Mohammad Hatami, the visit aims to expand scientific, technical and research cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, Deputy Prime Minister Khodjayev reaffirmed Uzbekistan's commitment to continuing cooperation with Afghanistan, pledging support for investment.
During the visit, Omari is expected to hold talks with representatives from India's Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, senior government officials and private sector stakeholders.
