Taliban Blamed for Burning Ten Civilians in Jawzjan

At least ten civilians were burned after Taliban militants set several shops ablaze in northern Jawzjan province, said Abdul Marof Azar, a spokesman for the Governor of Jawzjan.
According to Mr. Azar, the shopkeepers were sleeping in their shops, fearing that Taliban fighters would not loot them during nights.
Azar further added that the injured civilians were taken to Shibirghan Hospital for treatment.
However, Zabihullah Mujaheed a spokesman for the Taliban militant group has denied responsibility for the incident.
Jawzjan is a volatile province in northern Afghanistan where Taliban and Daesh militants have a significant.
