Taliban raid into Bala Blok distirct of Farah province
An improvised explosive device (IED) on an Afghan police ranger resulted to kill 1 Afghan Police and injure another at Ganj Abad area of Bala Blook district at Farah province on Monday morning.
Provincial chief of police, Gen. Abdul Raziq Yaqoubi confirmed the incident saying, a group of at least 400 armed anti-government insurgents attacked the district in group and still intensive clashes continues in between Taliban and Afghan Security Forces.
He added, 8 Taliban militants have been killed and another 6 were injured during the clashes.
Furthermore; Farah provincial spokesman, Jawad Afghan said,” Taliban have taken hostage 11 passengers out of transportation buses in northern city of Farah and killed 4 of them so far and we are struggling to release the rest.”
