UAE dispatches 2,500 tonnes of humanitarian aid to earthquake victims in Afghanistan

The United Arab Emirates has dispatched 2,500 tonnes of humanitarian aid to support victims of the devastating earthquake that struck eastern Afghanistan, following the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

According to Emirati media, the aid shipment includes essential food supplies, medical equipment, and shelter materials aimed at assisting those affected by the disaster.

The powerful earthquake, which hit the provinces of Kunar and Nangarhar two weeks ago, claimed more than 2,200 lives and left around 3,600 people injured. Thousands of homes were destroyed, leaving many families in urgent need of assistance.
