Upper House Approves Marriage Law in 4 Chapters, 23 Articles

Senators in the Upper house of the parliament have approved marriage law in 4 chapters and 23 articles to avoid more money to be lavished.

They have said,” this action has been taken to avoid unwarranted expenditure and non-religious deviations existed within the society.”

Head of the legislative in the house stated that the following law will enforce more limitations for both Nation and owners of the Hotels across the country.

The law explains that owners of the hotels can’t host more than 500 guests, other related parties such as Hennah night, Candy party, graduation party will not be held at the hotels anymore.

It’s part of the culture in Afghanistan that both families of bride and groom when the Eid Days or Nowruz Festival comes in they shall have to exchange some the jewelry, clothes candies even sheep for Eid Days, the law has banned all this.

Determination of Dower (Mahr) will be the responsibility of the bride according to the law approved by the senators no one can have that right.

However some of the senators demanded that the following law doesn’t have to create any limitation all things should be optional.

Afghan senator Faisal Sami said,” the following law will damage the investments and private sectors in the country this should be optional those who are wealthy can hold their parties in Dubai or neighboring countries by exerting any pressures or it will discourage other investors to invest in Afghanistan.”

Sediqa Balkh said,” Young generation are fed up don’t have the possibility to invite 2000 guests in a Hotel the current law should practiced to create limitations.”

The head of legislative committee in upper house of the parliament Muhuddin Munsif has warned that if the owners of the hotels will be fined first and for the second time we will shut down their activities or if the people ignore the law they will be punished accordingly to the following law which has been approved on Tuesday.

Upper house of the parliament has approved the marriage law in 4 chapters and 23 articles on Tuesday, demanding the President to sign the following law as soon as possible.
