WJ summoned Hajj, Transport ministers
The Wolesi Jirga (WJ) – the Lower House of Parliament summoned the ministers of Hajj, religious affairs, Transport and deputy of Ariana Airways on Wednesday session.
The minister of Hajj and religious affairs claimed that many facilities have been provided for pilgrims in the current year and around $ 10 million have been saved for the total consumption of Hajj.
According to Faiz Muhammad Osmani, the minister of Hajj and religious affairs, the ministry has signed an agreement with Ariana Airways; a company which has the cheapest rates than the others.
“In 94 pilgrims, each of them pays about $ 2,450 plus their three times food,” Osmani said.
Muhammadullah Batash, the minister of transport said, “We had to give Saudi Arabia a 15-day schedule of flights but due to delay in the process we should pay fine to Arabia.”
Meanwhile, some of representatives in WJ criticized the Ariana Airways; adding the company does not have any transparency and impunity.
But Ariana officials assured the representatives that they have signed contracts with other companies in a standard measures.
It has been scheduled that more than 4,000 Afghan pilgrims travel to Saudi Arabia to do Hajj affairs.
