Women has no working safety even in security departments: Samar

Head of the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission Sima samar has stated that Afghan women who are working in Governmental institutions specially on security departments don’t have working safety while performing their duties.

She has stated that if the Afghanistan National Action Plan was implemented well now there would be no more issues standing in front of Afghan Women in the country.

Officials in Ministry of Interior Affairs have rejected her statements saying we are implementing the Afghanistan National Action Plan for Afghan women within our Ministry.

According to report published by the Afghan Women Network over Afghan women situation in Afghanistan Head of the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission Sima samar said,”  Afghan Women are facing tough issues within their scope of working, Police Generals telling all the female police forces don’t you all have brothers, fathers to take care of you, I demand the Ministry of Interior Affairs to provide necessary working safety for the Afghan women working as police in Ministry of Interior Affairs.”

Head of Afghan Women Network Samira Hameedi said,” Afghan Women still face problems, Afghan women talents have been ignored in most cases, most of the Afghan Women were recruited based on the political decisions of the National Unity Government leaders.”

 Meanwhile the policy and strategy Deputy of the Ministry of Interior Affairs Masoud Ahmad Azizi said,” We have prepared our plan which avoids violence against Women within the Ministry, and we also go forward based on the Afghanistan National Action Plan and recruited 2880 Women in police queue, efforts are underway to build their capacity, from 580 Afghan Women who received military training in Turkey 195 of them were recruited as the corporal.”

Afghan Government is obliged to observe the United Nation Organization resolution 1325 to which focuses on  Afghan Women peace and security.
