12 fighters killed in clash between IS, Taliban rival groups in Nengarhar

Seven Taliban fighters and five Islamic State (Daesh) insurgents killed in a clash between the two rival groups in Khogyani district in the south of eastern Nengarhar province, officials say.
Colonel Noman Hatefi, 201st Selab Corps spokesman said, the clash took place late on Saturday.
He added, including a civilian child, important Taliban commanders have been killed during the clashes.
On the other hand, Khogyani district governor, Nematullah Noorzai has said that the clash was going on between the two rival groups since one week with dozens of causalities.
This is the first direct clashes between the two group after Taliban leadership send a letter to the IS leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi asking to stay out of Afghanistan.
