Acid attack injured 3 school girls in Herat

Three school girls injured in acid attack on Saturday in western Herat province.

Security officials in Herat have said, unknown men riding a motorcycle have attacked the three girls who were students of Mehri high school.

Adding, the acid have been thrown into the girls faces and called the medical condition of one victim as critical because the acid has injured her eyes.

Provincial educational official confirms the attack saying, they are concerned about the increased number of threats against students.

Abdul Majeed Rozi, provincial police chief believes that existence of motorcycle riders is the main reason behind the terrorist and acid throwing attacks.

It was not immediately known why the attackers have thrown the acid, but terrorists have never stopped at anything to keep Afghan girls from receiving an education.
