FM Muttaqi heads to Moscow for talks on Afghanistan
Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), has traveled to Moscow to participate in the seventh round of the Moscow Format Consultations on Afghanistan.
This marks the first time that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is participating as an official member in the Moscow Format.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that during the meeting, Amir Khan Muttaqi is expected to present the Islamic Emirate’s position to member countries regarding the development of Afghanistan’s relations with the region.
The seventh round of the Moscow Format Consultations on Afghanistan will be held on Tuesday.
Ahead of the meeting, special representatives of China, Russia, Pakistan and Iran met on Monday to discuss the agenda and the preparation of the final document.
