Afghan Government Comparing to Taliban Threatens correspondents:HRW

Human Rights Watch HRW despite of expressing deep concerns on correspondent’s conditions in Afghanistan has published a report which indicated violence against media in the country.

The 48 pages of report provided by the Human rights watch indicated that not only Taliban but also the Afghan Governmental powerful officials have violated correspondents in Afghanistan.

In most cases correspondents will make themselves to practice self sensor while investigating sensitive issues such as corruption, grabbing lands, and violence against Women.

Human rights Watch Investigator Miss Patricia said,” most of the threats comes either from the Governmental side or its supporters, this doesn’t mean that Taliban do not threat correspondents if we make the balance a side we see that most threats have been forced from Governmental officials towards the correspondents in Afghanistan.”

Concerns on increasing violence against correspondents is in rise.

The  Human rights Watch Asian deputy regional filam Kyn said,” Taliban activities is counted one of the challenges that correspondents face to it,but the other major serious threats which is being forced by the Governmental officials and Afghan security forces this process continues and its getting too risky.”

One of the Afghan correspondents Afizullah Marouf said,” correspondents do suffer from the current condition of the freedom of speech in the country.”

The female correspondent explained the situation when there is suicide bombing correspondents being prevented by the Afghan security forces to provide precise reports from the scene.

Based on the recent reports released by the Nai supporting open media for Afghanistan has addressed that year of 2014 has been the bloodiest year for media family members the report also indicated that violence against correspondents increased up to 64 % comparing last year.
