Afghanistan Code of Penalty needs Adjustments to meet Requirements: Yaftali
Officials in Investigative of Women and Child rights institution have said,” that there is no article mentioned in the code of penalty of Afghanistan to sentence the perpetrators of Women violence cases in the country.”
They have added that there is need to add the following article in the code of penalty to avoid others committing such violence against Women and children.
Afghanistan human rights Commission officials have also expressed their deep concerns over increasing of violence against Women.
Head of the following institution Zarqa yaftali said,” There is no article in the code of penalty of Afghanistan for sexual harassments, there is legal gap which will cause violence against Women to be increased in the country.”
Miss. Yaftali addressed that one of the major factors for increasing of such violence is the youths where they can’t meet their wishes and also traditional life style has also caused young men to commit such actions.
Head of Human rights Commission in Afghanistan Suriaya Subrang said, “We have recorded 385 sexual harassments cases in Afghanistan.”
Head of Free Fair and transparent Election foundation in Afghanistan Naim Ayoubzada said, “violence against Women will negatively impact on their political appearances in Election it will stop them from casting votes, to be Elected and monitor the Election process.”
Earlier Officials in Human rights Commission in Afghanistan had said that in the year of 2014 violence has not only increased but in horrible type of cases.
