Afghanistan-Tajikistan demand joint terrorism combat
Afghanistan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has left the country for Tajikistan early Tuesday morning for a two days official visit in Tajikistan.
During the visit both Presidents of the countries have insisted on launching joint terrorism combat, they have also insisted on strengthening of joint borders in order to avoid extremism and drug trafficking.
President Imomali Rahmanov said,” I insisted on ensuring security on joint borders of Afghanistan-Tajikistan, We also push our efforts through to change the joint borders into stable, friendship borders.”
President of Afghanistan was accompanied by dozen of Afghan officials where Minister of Foreign Affairs salahuddin Rabbani was one of the prominent officials who has signed a joint treaty with Tajikistan Government on exchanging of prisoners for the time being 330 Afghan prisoners are held in Tajikistan and 30 Tajik prisoners are detained in Afghanistan jails.
Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani said,” Terrorism doesn’t recognize Nation, country it’s a join threats against Nations, We as Afghans are on the frontline combating Terrorism.”
Since 1992 Afghanistan- Tajikistan has signed 80 cooperation documents, where both countries have benefited millions of dollars.
