Afghanistan-Turkmenistan sign cooperation agreement in the field of electric power

Both Afghanistan and Turkmenistan presidents signed an agreement to increase cooperation in the field of transport and power.
In President Ghani’s trip to Turkmenistan, his Turkmen counterpart has stressed that there are Favorable opportunities trade between the two countries have a double increase.
President Ghani said his country supports the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline, which stretches from the largest gas field in Turkmenistan, Galkynysh, through Afghanistan’s provinces of Herat and Kandahar to Fazilka, area located between India and Pakistan.
Afghanistan chamber of commerce and industry and a number of economic analysts are said to consider President Ghani’s trip to Turkmenistan will have remarkable achievements.
A Joint Communique and a number of other documents were also signed to boost cooperation between the two countries.
