Amo Sharks win Shpageeza Cricket League for the first time

Azmatullah Omarzai-led Amo Sharks chased down the target in 18.5 overs. Shahidullah Kamal scored 59 runs, Mohammad Ishaq 47 runs and Zubaid Akbari 40 runs.

Amo Sharks defeated Band-e-Amir Dragons by 7 wickets in the final match of the 9th edition of the Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL) in Kabul on Saturday to win their first-ever championship title.

Batting first after winning the toss, Band-e-Amir Dragons posted 178-1 with captain Hashmatullah Shahidi scoring 78 runs and Sediqullah Atal adding 75.

Azmatullah Omarzai-led Amo Sharks chased down the target in 18.5 overs. Shahidullah Kamal scored 59 runs, Mohammad Ishaq 47 runs and Zubaid Akbari 40 runs.

This is the first time that Amo Sharks become champions of SCL.
