Border, Tribal Affairs Minister Described First 100 Day Action Plan
Large plans are underway to protect borders and unite the tribes in the contentious border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, Afghan border & tribal affairs minister pledges.
Mohammad Gulb Mangal, Border & Tribal Affairs minister who was presenting his first 100 day action plan emphasized on tribes unity, Jirga (is a traditional assembly of leaders that make decisions), border issues, and reforms in administration, said: “we are trying to launch efficient mechanisms to unite tribes and build a good relation between the tribes and the government, we will continue to struggle and implement our plans.”
He added, residents living in the two side of the Durand line are mostly affected by terrorist’s phenomenon than others, and it requires practical steps to resolve these challenges.
“Afghanistan is fighting with terrorism, and we cannot limit the terrorism existence and activity to a special area, because they are operating in different places and does not have a specific location,” Minster Mangal said.
At the end, the minister insisted on the importance of the ministry and called it a very huge responsibility which requires a bigger structure and expenditure budget.
