Election Watchdogs Demand Reformation on Election System

The Election watchdogs demanded President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani to stop preparation on holding the parliamentary Election, before necessary reformation to be made in Election system.

They have also asked President Ghani to announce the date for parliamentary Election,holding parliamentary Election without reformation will be a historical mistake, and directing Afghanistan in to worst condition.

Head of the Free,Fair Election Forum of Afghanistan FEFA Yusuf Rashid said,” President should stop preparation for holding parliamentary Election,National Unity Government should take practical steps towards their commitments.”

However head of Transparent Election forum of Afghanistan Naim Ayubzada said,” holding parliamentary Election before doing reformation will be a historical mistake and risky.”

There are six days remain for the lower house of the parliament to lose its legal period of activities, lawmakers in the house have also expressed their disagreements on holding parliamentary Election before any reformation.

Khost representative Kamal Nasir Osli said,” Parliamentary Election should be held, but reformation needs to be made.”

The following efforts comes after that President Ghani has asked the independent Election commission to provide the parliamentary Election schedule in coming week, International community still insisted reformation on Afghanistan’s Election system, saying no penny will be given until no changes made within the Election to be made.
