Electronic ID Cards Must Be Distributed ASAP: CEO

The Chief of Executive Officer (CEO), Abdullah Abdullah on Tuesday said that the electronic ID cards should be distributed as soon as possible that the electoral problems solve.
The executive office stressed that the government cannot hold a six month election and the issue should be addressed soon.
“The distribution of electronic ID cards will help us in multiple areas,” Abdullah said.
Days pass since the formation of national unity government but there is nothing of electronic ID cards so far.
In the meantime, the government called on the ministry of communication to collect illegal sim cards from the market.
Afghan government claims that the terrorist use illegal sim cards to layout their terrorist plans.
“The terrorists use sim cards that are not registered and by this they facilitate their attacks,” Muhammad Muhaqiq, second deputy of CEO said.
It should be seen that how the government faces this challenge and collects illegal sim cards and monitors them.
