Explosion Kills a Doctor in Baghlan Province

At least one person was killed and 13 others including two women and two children were injured in an explosion in Baghlan province, an official said on Thursday.

The blast has occurred in a market in Pul-e-Khomri City of Baghlan province.

Deputy Director of Baghlan Public Health Abdul Aleem Ghafari said that the type of explosion was unknown yet.

He added that the incident has occurred on the second floor of the market where doctors clinics are located. He further said that the dead person is also a medical doctor.

The health condition of injured people is said to be stable.

Provincial police have not made a comment about the report yet.
