Family members want perpetrators punished for raping their young girl in Kapisa
Family members of a 12 year old girl who was raped in her home in Najrab district of north-eastern Kapisa province urged the government to punish the perpetrators.
Family members of a 12 year old girl named Zakiya referred to women’s affairs commission of Wolesi Jirga and emphasized that their daughter has kidnapped by armed individuals, possibly the local police and then was raped.
About ten days ago, the 12 year old Zakiya was raped in her house in the Nijrab district of central Kapisa province by a group of unknown gunmen.
In the meantime, the head of women’s affairs commission of Wolesi Jirga said that the perpetrators of this incident should be sentenced to the maximum penalty.
The family members of the young girl Zakiya warned that if their demands are not addressed their will take more serious action.
