President Ashraf Ghani expressed his dissatisfaction about the accuracy of Afghan National Security Forces numbers in his visit with tribal elders in Presidential palace and asked them to cooperate with the government with their evaluations in this regard.

“Please give your hand with me to identify the existence of all Afghan Local Police, Afghan National Police and Afghan National Army figures in your provinces, I don’t believe on figures provided, I would like you to tell me how many soldiers are there,” he said,” we provide money and weapons, but it goes to somewhere else”.

He believes 2015 was the survival year of Afghans and Afghans has experienced a difficult year in their country where people have witnessed war in every corner of the country which can cost the reconstruction of Afghanistan based on President Ghani’s calculations.

“The cost of one day war can support all Afghan orphans’ requirements, the cost of one week war can reconstruct half of Afghanistan’s schools and the cost of one month war can reconstruct a province of Afghanistan,” Ghani said.

Afghan President called lack of confidence between the people of Afghanistan as a serious problem and links the recent instability with the existence of illegal armed groups.

“The fundamental problem in Afghanistan in all sectors from health to services is the problem of of confidence, Afghans travel to Pakistan, Iran, India and other countries for treatment without having a faith on their own doctors which results escape of millions of dollars,” he stated.

President Ghani has met with Afghan citizens during the last three days to wish them a very joyful and peaceful Eid and to encourage Afghans to support their Afghan National Security Forces in their fight against the insurgents and enemies of Afghanistan.
