President Muhammad Ashraf Ghani says that one mayor is not enough for Kabul and we need four to six mayors.

Ghani declared that Kabul must be changed and all ministries and government institutions which are within the city and causing congestion should be transferred to the Dar-ul-Aman locality.

“The conditions of Kabul city are under review, studies indicate that Kabul needs four to six mayors to be accountable to the situations of the city. The situation of Kabul is worse than some districts of Badakhshan,” President Ghani said.

He emphasized that a main part of ministries would be transferred to Dar-ul-Aman locality so that we can have a proper and good capital.

Kabul has a population of over five million people. Since Kabul is experiencing the destiny of this population the urban system has been cluttered.
