Insecurity Hinder MRRD projects implementation
The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) said that insecurity is the main cause of hamper in implementation of the ministry’s projects.
The minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Nasir Durani said that insecurity has caused the development projects in some provinces of Afghanistan to implement unbalanced.
Durani noted that 49 per cent of the ministry’s development budget is spent so far.
He further added that the implemented projects are including water supply program, small power dams, Education, Health and Agriculture programs.
Almost twelve years have passed since the fall of the Taliban in Afghanistan, but peace remains elusive. Four interlocking challenges with internal, regional, transnational, and international dimensions impede Afghanistan’s stabilization and reconstruction.
Each challenge facing Afghanistan feeds off the others, and together they have engendered a vicious circle that is destabilizing the country.
