Official: Kabul blast killed 2, wounded 15
A strong explosion occurred in Sanatorium area of Darulaman road in Kabul.
According to the witnesses a suicide bomber has targeted Attorney General’s staff bus early on Monday morning. Women seen among the victims.
Security forces have blocked the area, an MoI Official confirmed the attack saying a suicide bomber struck a minibus carrying government employees in Kabul, killing at least one person and wounding 15.
Witnesses said the bomber in a sedan detonated his explosives early in the morning as the large white bus carrying employees of the attorney general’s office passed.
Taliban has claimed the responsibility behind the attack in a text massage to media.
This is the first attack in Kabul after Taliban insurgents group announced spring offensive targeting foreigners and afghan security forces under the name of Azam across the country.
Reports suggest that currently, a group of High Peace Council members and Taliban representatives are negotiating on a possible cease-fire in Qatar.
Last year, a record number of more than 10,000 Afghan civilians were killed or wounded in the war, the United Nations says.
