Kabul citizens donate blood for Shah Shahid victims

A number of Afghan citizens lined up in Kabul to donate blood for the victims of the deadliest Friday bombing in Shah Shahid area which killed and injured hundreds of Afghans including women and children.

The citizens say donating blood to save the lives of others is the responsibility of every human.

“We are here to donate blood for those who wounded during the last 24 hours in Kabul, this is the only way we can help them,” Raminullah a Kabul citizen said.

Ahmad Shekib Khenjani another citizen stated,” hundreds of our brothers and sisters injured in Shah Shahid attack in Kabul, we came here to donate blood and help them.”

At the same time a number of civil society activists asked the government to develop practical plans in order to prevent suicide attacks.

“People are tired of such type of killings and injuring, we are tired of the government and those who are responsible to ensure the security, they must not be careless to avoid killing of people,” Humaira Qaderi a civil society activist said.

Kabul citizens also criticized the government asking why the government is not preventing the dead of civilians.

“We donate our blood, but we don’t sell the country. How long innocent people must bleed? For the Allah sake don’t play with the people’s blood, stop it we are tired anymore,” Azizullah Ahmadi one of the Kabul residents said.

B B Haji an old woman said,” We don’t want our youth to bleed without any crime.”

Medical officials say donating blood doesn’t harm anyone, and it is also beneficial for their health.

“Donating blood has two benefits, it helps a needy Muslim, and also helps the one who donates blood,” Mohammad Hussain a doctor said.

Lots of people suffer injuries and need blood as a result of the recent suicide attacks in Kabul and most of people are expected to join this campaign in the coming days.
