Hundreds of Kabul residents have criticized the Government for not providing good services specially the electricity, saying the National Unity Government leaders are enjoying electricity 24 hours, only the residents enjoy few hours of power in 24 hours.

Kabul habitants said we have been experiencing power shortages for about 20 days and no necessary reaction has been taken by the leader of the Government for the goods of the Nation here in the capital city of Kabul.

Weeks ago Taliban have destroyed some electricity pylons in Dand-i- Ghori and Dand-i- Shabuddin districts of Baghlan province, where Afghan security forces have launched military clearance operation to remove Taliban from those two areas.

Kabul resident Faiz Mohammad said,” if the leaders of the Government can’t fix other problems, they could light our houses, this is not fair.”

“They are enjoying their life under the 24 hours of electricity,do not even think about if there is someone else is living in this city without electricity the other resident of Kabul Basher Ahmad said.”

After days of darkness in Kabul, the electricity towers were repaired and 100 mega watt electricity re-connected to Kabul city.

Executive Gen head of Da Bershna Sherkat Qudratullah Dilawri said,” we will not deal with anyone, we have tried to provide electricity for some of the areas in Kabul, but destruction of power pylons have delayed our plans.”

Ministry of Defense spokesman Dawlat Waziri said,” Afghan security forces have gained a lot of achievements in clearance operation launched in Dand-i-Ghori,the reason which the operation takes ages is that Taliban have sheltered in residential houses.”

Baghlan Governor Abdul Satar Barez said,” Bad condition of weather is also the other factor which delayed the operation in Dand-i- Ghori.”

Based on the estimation the Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat is facing about one million Afghani loss on daily basis, which thousands of residents in Kabul, Parwan and Baghlan are living in darkened houses.
