Killing of ANA in Baraki Barak Misunderstanding: MoD

 Killing of Afghan National Army soldiers in chiltan area of Baraki Barak district of Logar Province by the US helicopters has been a misunderstanding.

After killing of 7 ANA forces and injuring 5 others a joint investigative committee was established to pursue more details the incident.

The investigation launched by the joint delegations of Afghans and NATO it discovered that Afghan National Army Soldiers has been taken as the armed insurgents and were bombarded by the US air forces patrolling the areas.

However the Afghanistan Defense Ministry deputy spokesman Dawlat Waziri said,” the investigation yet to be finalized,adding that US air forces were on patrol when this catastrophe took place.”

Head of the strategic relationship of resolute support mission of NATO in Afghanistan Wilson shanfir said,” it was 20^th of July where Afghan National Army soldiers were bombed by the US Air forces patrolling baraki barak district of Logar Province ,ANA forces were taken as the armed insurgents and were bombed.”

Killing of Afghan National Security forces being bombed by the US air forces is not new thing,dozens of Afghan security forces lost their life while they were taken as the insurgents in Wardak, Helmand, Kandahar, and some other parts of the country, the intent of these kind of attacks has always been rejected by the US air forces.
