Labour, Social Affairs Minister described his First 100 Day Action Plan

Soon a National Labour Committee will be launched headed by President Ashraf Ghani, Nasrin Oryakhail Minister of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs & Disabled said while she was introducing her First 100 Days Action Plan.

She emphasized that with the opening of this committee unemployment issues will be focused.

“The President will be leading this committee and I will be acting as his secretary to provide employment opportunities, I hope we launch committee soon.”

In a country where 36 percent of its population is living under the poverty line, Labour & Social Affairs minister vows to review all laws and regulations for contracts between employee and employers.

“Benefits mentioned in the Afghanistan’s National Labour Law for labor is violated by the employers, if an employee affected no one will care about his benefits, we must revise these regulations so it is executive,” Minister Oryakhail emphasized.

She further promised that they will pay the benefits of 50,000 retired government employees not later than the first hundred days.

“Before the first hundred working days ended, 50,000 retired employees will receive their salaries through electronic systems, we have launched these efforts since one month ago.”

President Ghani asked all cabinet members to introduce the First 100 Days Action Plans and this will be a challenging job for the National Unity Government to fulfill practically the plans they have drafted.
