Musharraf Blames Karzai, India for terrorist attacks in Pakistan
Pakistan former president, Parvez Musharraf accused Afghanistan outgoing president Hamid Karzai and Pakistan’s eastern neighbor, India of supporting Taliban splinter groups for terrorist attacks against Pakistan.
In an interview, Musharraf claimed that the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan commander, Maulana Fazlullah is in Afghanistan and he is reasonably sure that Maulana Fazlullah was supported by former Karzai government to carry out terror attacks in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan national defense ministry denied growing terrorism in Afghanistan but emphasized to reopen the coordination center in Torkham to eradicate terrorism between the armed forces of the two countries.
Deputy of defense ministry, Baz Muhammad Jawhari said, “Afghanistan is never interested in terrorism and if terrorist attacks are organizing in Afghanistan we will take serious actions”.
After Tuesday’s deadly attack on the school in Peshawar, Pakistan Army chief General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday made a short trip to Kabul to hold key meetings with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and ISAF commander in Kabul.
Afghan political analyst are said to believe Pakistan Army chief of staff’s trip to Afghanistan is Pakistan’s another ruse that blames Afghanistan for growing terrorism.
