Muttaqi stresses importance of unity and perseverance in phone call with Hamas leader
He said the Islamic Emirate and the people of Afghanistan support the resistance and the “rightful demand” of the Palestinians.
In a phone call with Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh, Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi has stressed the importance of unity and perseverance in the fight against Israel.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday, Muttaqi also welcomed the negotiations and agreement between the Palestinian groups in Beijing.
He said the Islamic Emirate and the people of Afghanistan support the resistance and the “rightful demand” of the Palestinians.
Meanwhile, Haniyeh appreciated the Islamic Emirate’s position towards Palestine, especially over the recent events in Gaza, and shared information about the recent negotiations with Israel.
