NDS detained Taliban military commander for Qala Zal with his aide in Mazar
National Directorate of Security (NDS) – Afghanistan’s intelligence agency has arrested Taliban military commander for Qala Zal district with his aides in northern Balkh province of Afghanistan.
“Qari Sharifullah, the Taliban so-called military commander for Qala Zal district of Kunduz province along with his deputy Ziaullah known to Qari Mahmod who were involved in armed terroristic attacks and planting mines in Qala Zal, Char Dara and the city of Kunduz, who were wounded during fighting with Afghan security forces were arrested by NDS members while they were seeking treatment in Mazar-e Sharif city,” NDS statement released on Tuesday read.
According to the statement the detained Taliban members have confessed for involvement in various terror attacks, planting mines to attack ANSF conveys in Char Dara and Qala Zal districts.
