NDS: Nine terrorists arrested in Nengarhar
The National Directorate of Security (NDS) – Afghanistan’s intelligence agency has arrested nine terrorists in eastern Nengarhar province of Afghanistan, a statement released on Wednesday read.
The terrorists who were plotting destructive activities including planting mines and kidnapping people were arrested during a special operation along with one rocket launcher, one PKM, four AK47, six Pakistani pistols, two grenades, two anti-personnel mines and one radio machine, the statement added.
According to the statement the terrorists planed to attack military and civilian conveys on Kabul – Jalalabad highway.
Meanwhile, NDS statement reports about prevention of 11 children who were on the route to Pakistan for terror trainings in Pakistan religious schools.
Afghan spy agency has increased activities to disrupt terror activities across the country after the Taliban and Islamic State groups intensified attacks on military and civilians in the country.
