No election to be held if electoral system not reforms

The executive office is said to consider bringing reforms in electoral system and changing the independent election commission (IEC) frame mandatory.

Deputy spokesman of the executive office warned that no election will be held in the country, as long as the fundamental reforms are not entered to the electoral system.

Asef Ashna, Deputy Spokesman of the executive office emphasized that if the head of election commission want to or not, there will be changes in electoral institutions.

Head of IEC is opposes with entering changes in election system before holding the parliamentary election and was said to consider senators efforts for brining reforms in electoral institutions their personal aims.

However, the executive office considers brining fundamental reforms to electoral institutions their priority.

Meanwhile, a number of electoral observing institutions are said to consider reforming the electoral system a serious need.

They stressed that if the electoral system is not reformed, new crisis will threaten the country.

The European Union (EU) has also warned that EU will cut its monitoring and aids to Afghanistan election if fundamental changes and reforms are not entered to electoral system.
