No More Wait For Abdullah, Ghani Agreement: IEC
The Independent Election Commission (IEC) has declared it will announce the Presidential Election result on next week whether the candidates reach to any agreement or not.
IEC spokesman Noor Muhammad Noor stated Wednesday that the election commission could no longer wait for the candidates to conclude their dispute.
Noor reiterated they could no longer keep the nation waiting for the result of their votes they cast despite so many terrorism threats on the Election Day.
“It’s good that the candidates reach an agreement but if not, the election commission will definitely announce the result of vote audit,” Noor told reporters.
According to Noor, the election commission after completing the process would announce the result despite of disagreements between the candidates.
It is said that the candidates have agreed on all points of proposed national unity government except the post of chief executive.
