Afghan government is closely watching the recent developments and events in Taliban group leadership and Haqqani Network including the whereabouts of their meetings, a presidential statement released on Sunday read.

These incidents have raised a lot of questions among the people of Afghanistan and the International Community, the statement said.

It calls Taliban a deceived group committing criminal actions against the people of Afghanistan.

In addition, Afghan government has announced that no parallel movement against the system is acceptable and will stand against these movements with all power.

The statement further calls Taliban and other insurgent groups as anti-government armed groups.

Afghan government emphasizes on peace talks and condemns any statement or efforts against the peace negotiations. It also says the government will respond to any threat and praises the efforts and sacrifices of Afghan security forces to serve their country.

The statement comes after Taliban new leader vowed to continue insurgency and called peace effort ‘propaganda’ by enemies.
