NUG supports domestic products
Special representative of president in reforms affairs and good governance has said that the national unity government (NUG) economic policy is prepared on protectionism of the domestic products.
According to Special representative of president in reforms affairs and good governance, the national unity government is committed to support the domestic products.
While visiting some of factories in Kabul, Ahmad Zia Masood, President’s special representative said that the domestic products of the country support by the government that the domestic products to compete with foreign products.
“We are trying the domestic industries to grow that our products can compete in the world’s markets.” Ahmad Zia Masood, Special representative of president in reforms affairs and good governance said.
In the meantime, a number of Afghan craftsmen said NUG support from the domestic products causes employment reduce and domestic products grow.
Sakhi Ahmad Paiman, head of Afghanistan craftsmen union said, “The government have not assisted much with the craftsmen in the past that we now have the current problems.”
This comes as Afghanistan domestic products still cannot compete in the world markets in any sectors.
The economy of Afghanistan has improved significantly since 2002 due to the infusion of billions of dollars in international assistance and investments, as well as remittances from Afghan expats.
