Pentagon has warned of any possible crisis if the internal differences not ended in Afghanistan.

US joint chief of staff, Gen. Martin Dempsey told to media outlets that the Afghan government has the ability to prevent any crisis.

Gen. Dempsey in a press conference said that some of the internal conflicts in Afghanistan show the future of the country crisis.

Nearly a decade since the removal of the Taliban from power in Afghanistan, the country is struggling with instability. The security situation in Afghanistan continues to deteriorate, causing real concern and demanding an urgent solution. The conflict today is not limited to the Afghan Government and the insurgent groups but involves the United States, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and Afghanistan’s neighbors and other countries in the region.

The performance of the Afghan government remains another major risk. the capacity and effectiveness of the government are undermined by widespread corruption, limited human capital, and concentrations of power within the judicial, legislative, and executive branches. These factors slow the reinforcement of security gains and threaten the legitimacy and long-term viability of the Afghan government.

Dempsey also noted that there is no anti-American sentiment in Afghanistan.

According to him, there are only some anti-American reactions in those areas under Taliban’s control.

At the other side, Gen. Dempsey was said to consider the Daesh group a terrorist group; adding the group is trans-regional and is not just link to Syria and Iraq.
