Private health sector not properly evaluated
The Ministry of Health (MoH) has not properly evaluated the private health sector, Private Hospitals Association of the country said.
A number of officials in the association criticized the evaluation of the ministry of health; adding the delegations by the ministry of health have incorrectly monitored.
They said that this caused public trusts reduce against the health sector in the country and patients go to neighboring countries for treatment.
However the ministry of health emphasized that the evaluation has been done with complete accuracy.
“Even most of the hospitals were not standardized at the level of regional measures, let alone to compared to international measures,” Dr. Ismael Kawosi, head of relations and information of ministry of public health said.
About one week ago, the ministry of health carried out evaluations to assess the quality work of private hospitals which resulted nine hospitals to be closed and more than twenty nine other hospitals to transfer into smaller clinics.
