Senates welcome changes on US policy against Pakistan
Afghanistan upper house of the parliament members have welcomed the changes made on the US policy against Pakistan in the recent days, witnessing the top leader of Taliban Mullah Mohammad Mansour was killed by the US drone strike in Pakistan Sunday Afternoon.
Senator Abdullah Qarluq said,” We welcome the changes on US policy towards Pakistan, the recent sanctions and killing of the top leader of Taliban could be counted as part of the changed policy, stating if US provides half financial aids which it does for Pakistan, Afghanistan will be capable to eradicate insurgency and terrorism from the country.”
Senator Zalmay Zabuli said,” Afghanistan Government should declare his death, and should demand more details over the attack.”
Meanwhile US Secretary of state John Kerry said,” We have launched an air drone in the remote area on the joint border of Afghanistan- Pakistan and killed the Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Mansour who had recently turned into a imminent and sustainable threat to US forces and Afghans in Afghanistan, he was directly opposes direct peace talks process with Afghan Government.”
Pentagon in a statement has declared Mullah Mohammad Mansour as the killer of innocent Afghans, part of the statement indicates that Mullah Mansour has been involved in all terrorists activities in Kabul and other provinces of Afghanistan, recently he had turned into a serious threat for all Afghans, and he was also opposed to join peace talks process, and was trying to stop other Taliban leaders to reconcile with Afghan Government.
US congress member John MacCain said,” We welcome the top Taliban leader’s death, I praise the US military special forces professionalism and skills for launching such kind of complicated operation for securing both Nations Afghanistan-USA from the serious threat.”
His death comes after that the previous Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omer had died but the word for his death was kept as secret among Taliban members for two years.
