The Transparent Election Foundation of Afghanistan (TEFA) has called the “special audit of 6000 ballot boxes” useless and not necessary for the audit process.

TEFA chief Muhammad Naeem Ayubzada told Ariana News that this new audit plan would question the normal audit process of all votes cast in the election runoff.

He urged all the boxes should be audited equally otherwise no useful outcome would come from the audit process.

“Every new plans or proposals for the audit process will create more challenges rather to ease the process,” according to Ayubzada.

Meanwhile, Free and Fair Election Foundation of Afghanistan (FEFA) has also criticized the special audit of 6000 boxes, saying all Afghanistan Laws have been violated after the second round of elections.

The plan for special audit of 6000 boxes was offered last week by United Nations.
