Special Reformation Electoral Committee(s) Political Committee:FEFA

Responsible in Free & Fair Election Forum of Afghanistan FEFA has called the special reformation electoral committee is a political committee not a reformation.

They have said,” we are concerned on the appointed persons, and its policy within the committee.”

FEFA officials have also declared the members of the committee were assigned by the both leaders of the National Unity Government and presidential supporters.

They have added that Government of Afghanistan will monitor the activities of the following committee closely, that means is their hands are tight and no reformation to be made in the Election system.

Head of the FEFA Yusuf Rashid said,” this committee is a political one and none professional and its members have close ties with National Unity Government leaders.”

FEFA members have accused the Government of Afghanistan for doing nothing significant within the following committee to create best plat form for reformation.

During a survey launched by the FEFA indicated that 39 percent of the Mps demand the implementation of the code of punishment.

However 98 percent of the people want basic and fundamental changes in the Independent Election Committee IEC.

In the suggestion made by FEFA officials they have demanded changes in the special reformation Electoral committee and wanted the Government to stay out of this issue.

Head of FEFA Abdul Rashid said,” Government should take this issue seriously and perform its responsibility against it.”

Meanwhile FEFA members have asked sentences based on the laws for those who do frauds in the Elections.
