Stay away from ethnic discrimination, acting defense minister tells soldiers
Acting Minister of National Defense Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid said on Thursday that the security and defense forces should stay away from discrimination along ethnic lines.
Mujahid made the remarks at the graduation ceremony of hundreds of students of Hazrat Moaz Bin Jabal National Military Academy and Hazrat Abu Ubaidah Bin Jarrah National Defense University in Kabul.
“You are the sons of this soil, you will serve for this soil and you will protect the Islamic and national values and the borders of the country. The nation has hope in you and because the country’s funds have been spent on you, so fulfill your responsibilities with complete sincerity, and stay away from ethnic, racial and sectarian issues and discrimination,” Mujahid said.
The political deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai also stressed on the need to keep people satisfied.
“If our ancestors sacrificed themselves in this regard, we will also sacrifice ourselves to serve the country and the people. So it is necessary to keep our people satisfied and for them to stand shoulder to shoulder with us,” Stanikzai said.
In the ceremony, 235 students of Hazrat Moaz Bin Jabal National Military Academy and Hazrat Abu Ubaidah Bin Jarrah National Defense University graduated.
