Suicide bombers storm on NDS compound in Kandahar
Three suicide bombers attacked National Directorate of Security installations in southern Kandahar.
The attack took place over NDS compound located in police 5th precinct in Kandahar on early Sunday morning injuring four NDS members.
According to a statement by the National Directorate of Security Agency, a suicide bomber who was riding a Mazda vehicle with about 1,200 kg improvised explosive devices (IEDs) has detonated himself at the gate. Following the car bomb attack another two Taliban gunmen had tried to enter the compound, but they were shoot death by Afghan security forces on the spot in 10 minute clashes.
Four intelligence members were injured as a result of the car bomb blast, the statement added.
